Carnivorous Plants are fascinating and fun to grow.  All the plants on our list will grow indoors, but we have found that many of them will grow outdoors all year in the Pacific Northwest.  This opens up a whole new type of gardening, Bog Gardening.  Small bogs can be simply constructed anywhere.  All you need is 4-6 hours of direct sunlight; dappled shade in non-coastal areas.

3'x3' children's wading pools are perfect for bog gardening but any container that holds water is a candidate.  Our plants are doing well in a variety of conditions and containers and have gone through 5 years of testing in temperatures as low as 14ºF and as high as 98ºF.  One quarter of the surface area of each container is used as a water reservoir.  This keeps watering down to once a week in July and August for most containers in our area.  Venus' Fly Traps, Cobra Lilies, all the North American Pitcher Plants and many species of Sundews are easy to grow outdoors.

Free instructions for building small bogs are available upon request.  Care sheets are provided with each type of plant.  We ship all plants bare-root, unless otherwise stated.  Potting instructions are also provided.
